2:30 Wednesday: Gents,
About 50 players to go to wrap this thing up. Just a reminder on rules that come in to play here at the end:
In order to make bids, there must be a player on the board that you nominated. I'll be monitering for this as best I can.
Also, you must assume all of your current bids stand and that winning all bids would not a) put you over the $$ cap; and, b) would not put you over 15 roster spots. So if you have 12 guys on your roster, you can only have bids on 3 players at a time.
A couple teams are almost full, while a couple teams need to get some nominations in to have a full roster come Monday.
Also, minimum starting bid is $0.50.

2:35 Monday: In the latest episode of the drama, Albert has convinced Paul to give him is team back. Welcome back Al. I hope you will be in damage control mode to repair your reputation in the league ... not that you care about that stuff.
To the rest of the league: Are you not entertained?!?!
**UPDATE DOS** I should be selling tix with all this drama. Jaxon H took a couple turns but then decided he'd rather spend his teen years doing other things -- can't blame him.
In a twist that only the cuckiest version of M. Night Shyamalan would come up with: Paul J Thompson has decided to right his wrongs and pick up the scraps of Albert's team. I warned Paul that if he screws us again we'll all adopt a child and leave them at his doorstep. Perhaps, Joe H can be a co-owner with Paul to form a dynamic BFB team.
Yeesh. All I can say is, we'll get through this.
Also, a note on nominations. Remember you have to have a player nominated by you on the board to be able to bid on other players. Can't quite explain why, but just think of a live draft toward the end when it's your turn to nominate, you cant just pass and bid on others.

Gentlemen,
We have 10 of 13 counting votes in, and 8 are for a 12 hour limit, so that's what we'll be moving forward with. The 12 hour bid win will go in effect at midnight Pacific time tonight. Any bid after midnight will be won after 12 hours on the board. Bids that are still under the 18 hour time limit will be noted as such by me in the subject line.
If any owner know he will not be around a computer for cell phone for a 12 hour period, you can email me or text me (971-237-1397) top bids of certain players and I can place those bids for you.
I'd like to reiterate that while waiting until 10 minutes before the 18th (now 12th) hour to raise a bid is perfectly within the rules, it is quite annoying, it prolongs this draft and it makes you 'that guy' of the league. Obviously it will happen due to schedules and other bids occurring, but please try to limit this practice.
On a somewhat related note, Albert Angelo III has become the third person to back out of this league mid-draft. Those who have been in fantasy leagues with Al can express their feelings accordingly (note, my guess is that he'll continue to watch this draft ... Hi 'Bu!). While Al, Joe and Paul provided decent competition, their banter and faux lovers' quarrels is more obnoxious than entertaining. Their smallness and pettiness will live on in our memories.
A replacement for Albert's team is quickly being sought and should be in place by tomorrow. To prevent that roster from falling behind and becoming unappealing, I will be acting as it's manager until a replacement is made.
To prevent any semblance of impropriety, I will not be making any bids for the Yamhill High Flyers until a replacement owner is in place.
Hopefully this will be the last bump in the road. If anyone else has the notion to quit this week ... just don't.
Humbly,
Ossie
^^^^CORRECTION: Should say, "No, Keep at 18" ... can't figure out how to edit it^^^^
Gentlemen,
Other than one hiccup the draft seems to be going swimmingly. Thanks to all for your effort as we launch what will hopefully be a long, successful and entertaining dynasty basketball league.
After about 4.5 days of drafting we are 1/3 the way through (~75 / 225 players drafted). Later rounds should go quicker since there's less cap space involved, but we'll still be cutting it close to be ready by next Monday. So i'm wondering if we should lower the amount of time til a bid is won. Please vote above. We will do a second round of voting with 2 options only if needed.
Everyone here has different priorities, schedules and ability (or desire) to check the board throughout the day. I don't want anyone's team to suffer from lowering the bid time, but I also want to get through it in a timely fashion.
